First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Belfast, as Red Stag is still struggling to come to terms with Munsters QF loss to Ulster Wink

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Brian McLaughlin, John Hart, Duncan Bell, Michael Lynagh, Mick O'Driscoll, Deiniol Jones and Shane Williams.

Get well "Noddy" Lynagh - our thoughts are with you. Hug

Yes I did Muntsy. It was quite a good game; much closer than some here expected. I'm always wary of the Kiwis putting up a good contest.

We've just had our City v Country match played in beautiful Mudgee.
It's like a selection match for the NSW S.O.O. side. City scraped home 24-22.

I am As in a way. There's a LOT to do this week beforehand though. You're up early for a Sunday.

Billy,

I shall be. If you are there then, it'd be cool to meet up.

The Kiwis really seem to be a side that needs to build momentum, whereas your lot are so damn clinical.

Yeah I saw the result in the City Country match. So who do you think will be five eight, Hayne or Carney? Did any other players stand out?

Cool Billy, well keep in touch on it. I'm sure I'll have the internet over there and MrsP is telling me I need to keep her up to date while I'm there.

Line,

Do you watch the Footy Show? On Stuffyoumayhavemissed this week, there was a brilliant clip of the penalty to win a game. Have you seen it?

I'd go with Carney. Hayne threw an intercept pass which led to Country's first try.

Mitchell Pearce, Steve Turner did well for City and Tariq Sims and Blake Ferguson played well for Country.

I usually watch The Footy Show - it's filmed right next door to me. They're a bunch of clowns but it's all good fun. Very Happy

Moooorning. I htink my body clock is attuned to S4C. Just woke up and switched the tv on to see that the replay of Scarlets v Munster was just starting.

Here's hoping it doesn't leave me feeling as mad as I was yesterday. It really was a poor match to watch live, so hope it comes across better on the tv.

Also in the first 5 mins have noticed that if I wasn't so short, I'd have made several tv appearances. Ah well.

I made another one on Friday Dreamer with the Rhino.

Just watching the Anzac test now. Forgot about it to be honest. Have to feel sorry for Johnson getting hurt so early in his debut. Ah he's alright. Looked like he was going off.

ah okay, don't watch rugby league much myself.

I might have to switch S4C off, no offence Munster fans, but you really aren't a very nice side to watch play.

oh ho, a Rolland howler about to make it's appearence, where he allows a drop out 22 and play to continue, despite a player being down with a possible head/neck injury. Farcical.

After dropping off a few tackles yesterday, I wouldn't fancy trying to stop much at the minute. The one Australian winger looks a handful too (number 5)

Just watching this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01bgr2p/Shane/

An absolute must watch for for Shane William fans. What a legend man, a total hero. Brilliant stuff.

My bro in law running in the LM so good luck to him.

Personally I hope Glasgow now go for the tbp win out in Treviso. If they get up to 62 points with Munster that last weekend will have some fireworks yet. Also a Leinster-Munster semi and Leinster-Ospreys final will be huge games if it works out that way.

Hoog is right, the ref is masquerading the real issues that led to what I believe is close enough to a a full strength Scarlets side against a weak enough Munster team.

sorry Thomond but I can't believe you've just said that was a near full strength Scarlets side.

And discussing a poor refereeing display isn't masquerading anything, it's simply discussing a poor refereeing display.

Dreamer, the refereeing debate is generating far more discussion then the Scarlets performance. Fair enough I might be wrong on the how close it is to a first choice team, but seeing Rees, Morgan and the likes of Timani, North and Priestland I assumed. Apologies

Thom - we had only 14 fit players to train during the week. A guy on our bench had already played for Llanelli earlier in the day. We were down to our bare bones. We were playing Stevo at centre where he hasn't played since he was about 21. He's 34 now. That should tell you enough!

And what's to comment on the Scarlets performance that's different from usual? We're making the same mistakes we've been making for 3+ seasons now. Scarlets fans are just fed up of discussing them!

Ah man, I think I need a drink.... cider

Hoog - that really is some hangover eh? poor, poor attempt at a wum, not even subtle.....

What a gent.

Flipping typical that my wife has said I can go to Ireland for the B&I final now, but I don't think it's possible anymore.

I also owe Munster an apology over the moan I had with regards to the kickoff time. It's Sky Sports' fault. Haven't shown an interest in the comp all season, then control the scheduling so it doesn't clash with the Amlin game. Bit gash that.
