The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Dar es Salaam
First topic message reminder :
Hamjambo. Karibuni Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to visit pub regular MBTGOG on his big trip there. Maisha marefu! Afya! Vifijo!
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Sir Fred "The Needle" Allen, Aberdeen Shikoyi, Isoa Damudamu, Chris "Mossy" Patterson, Nathan Hines and Simon Danielli. The poor defenseless IRB referee's jersey draped over the dartboard is fair game though

Just read about Wally
if you're popping over in June for the beer fest, I'm off that week so I can catch up with you at some point.

Evening Cari, pity about Wally then.

Evening Rava. It is a shame for a player with his record to retire on an injury, but it is somewhat inevitable given his age and the injury he's had. Just a bummer of an ending really.

Retirement due to injury has become more commonplace recently unfortunately. I believe the rigours of the modern game are such that it will continue to rise.

Cari, I have the whole day off on 8th June. It would be great to catch up with as many Welsh regs as possible. Looking at rocking up in the 'Diff at about 3:30 for socialising and a late lunch. Then off to the beer fest with whoever wants to come along.
The fitst of the summer tour games are the day after, so I anticipate plenty of rugby banter.
And the denigration of Saesneg hopes in SA, and what we can do with our chariot.

Rava - that is sad, but true, unfortunately.
Sounds Good I'm off then too, assuming I don't go away anywhere (this is looking unlikely at the mo...)

So true Hound. Companies know this. Board-level management and HR Depts especially, can really mess you around with impunity now.
Come the Day... we'll line them up against the Wall and shoot them.
In a nice way. Metaphorically speaking.

Ah Gibbo, I used to fly free and deliver great things for the business. Make my own plans and run things like it was my own business, with no corrupt stuff.
Everything is counted now and we spend more time satisfying our new management's desire for numbers than actually winning business.
Cari, I am now thinking of arriving in the 'Diff earlier in the day and maybe taking in the MS tour ()that's not Marks & Sparks!).
I'll see how my mate feels about that one tomorrow.

I'll try my best.
Mrs P, I'm sure anybody would do the same in my position. I'm glad they're sorted.

Rev, it would be great if you can make it, lucky too. Plus where's rhinodragon?
Anyway folks, as we head into the weekend, the best of luck to your teams as we head into the final league fixtures.
Keep the faith.

Mid term elections don't mean squat. Look at obama. Slaughtered in his mid terms and yet most moderates would be surprised if he wasn't reelected later this year. Realistically for Milliband to make any kind of statement they'd need to make a gain somewhere in the region of 600. As someone who finds the idea of milliband as pm utterly deplorable, I can definetly see this happening.
I hope Boris comes through though!

I think Boris should come out. Jesus how is he running a City with a population the size of a small country? Someone must be pulling his strings and they are having a laugh with too.
Ken was great for London when I lived there. Really helped people.
Boris always reminds me of this goy. Cant take him at all seriously.

7days at the moment Billy, trying to get through my jobs but some of the kernobs I contract to just can't get the gear on site when and where you need it so I'm just bouncing from pillar to post.
Got one of my own jobs coming up soon though, so I will probably get a couple of days off then.
Due on site in 45 mins - see you later gang.

I had MrsP. My source was being a little cagey and wouldn't supply a name, but denied a few that I put forward, however wouldn't deny iHumph when I asked.
Am really happy with him coming to the MadStad.

I remember you mentioning a new half back that you were waiting to have announced but I couldn't remember if it was a 9 (TOL) or a 10.
I'm pretty shocked I have to say. Who else do you have at 10? How far up the pecking order do you think he will be?
I really hope he gets back to his very best for you guys. At his best he is brilliant at getting the backs moving.
