The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Dar es Salaam
First topic message reminder :
Hamjambo. Karibuni Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to visit pub regular MBTGOG on his big trip there. Maisha marefu! Afya! Vifijo!
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Sir Fred "The Needle" Allen, Aberdeen Shikoyi, Isoa Damudamu, Chris "Mossy" Patterson, Nathan Hines and Simon Danielli. The poor defenseless IRB referee's jersey draped over the dartboard is fair game though

At least it frees up another NIQ spot for Ulster, well he must have been NIQ cause he never got near the team

Oh dear Hughie.
Surely you can do better than that?
Would you like to have another wee go at that attempt at a wind up since you made such a horlicks of that one?

Our squad for next season is looking a bit bare. Need a backrow and a 10. Think losing Humphreys is very foolish to be honest, Jackson will be first choice but should he get injured or lose form we're screwed. I'm quite disappointed by this news. It seems we are determined not to have the strength in depth we really do need.

My money is on Jonny Wilkinson.....I've got a feeling in my bones about it. That would explain why we were in Toulon.
Don't understand why we're letting McKinney go. Porters gone too is that right?

Just been speaking the the father of one of LI conditioning coaches.
His son had told him LI are about to announce a signing and a lot of the players weren't happy about it.

An NIQ 10 would be all very well Rodders but we're well short in the backrow department. I'd much rather we used our NIQ there unless we've grown a new iq backrower in the lab.

Well don't rule out an IQ backrower.
We're a more attractive proposition to players from the Southern provinces.

Are you joking Rava? LI have got a rough diamond there....they'll be serious force in the middlesex 7's if nothing else......
TOL and Humph is an awful combination though.
I think there are a couple of big signings on the way....

Don't knock it Asbo!
Our crisis ridden season seems to be working out not too badly. Maybe we need a few more crises!

No I didn't hear anythnig about it. Thats awful.
Losing Quinlan, Wallace and Leamy to retirement in the space of a year would be a big blow.

Morning all.
A very big thank you to Asbo, I'll be joining him at Carries vs Chiefs tomorrow.
(my 2nd* ever trip to Watford )
*Went out there for a job interview back in 2006. And turned that job (with a now defunct financial organistation) down

I always think it's slightly absurd when I see someone in a top with GAP written across the front of it. It's the same with Bench. I might make my own t-shirts with random nouns printed on them.

A scrum half who can't pass and an outhalf who won't tackle. What could possibly go wrong?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Dar es Salaam
Lose probably. Munster by 7.
The main thing is to avoid injuries- I'm pleased to see a number of players rested. If we come through unscathed I won't really care about the result. I'm more interested in seeing how Iain Henderson, Chris Cochrane and Paddy Jackson fare. It's a big game for Jackson especially- in the first team he's playing with a 9 and 12 who can both play at outhalf and take the pressure off him, now he has to be the leader and organiser.

Big question Notch.
Next season who ranks higher in the pecking order: Ian Madigan (2nd choice at Leinster) or Paddy Jackson (1st choice at Ulster)
