The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Pyongyang in a bid to persuade Kim Jong Un to pack away the missiles, grab a beer and watch the rugby.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Donal Walsh, Chris & the late Hannah Eaton, the retiring Marcus Horan, the recently hospitalised Schalk Burger (with meningitis), the recuperated Jacques Burger, and the three-peating ANBL champion NZ Breakers

Thanks chaps
I'm rather relieved it's not until the end of the week, gives me plenty of time to recover from the bashing my liver will take this weekend!
Vitamin B12! That's what I need to pack!

I've already packed the Berrocca Swanny.
I'm staying out at Luton tonight to make the 7.50 flight in the morning a bit easier, so I have my bag here at work. And my netball kit for tonight mutter mutter, might have gotten away without checking in a bag otherwise

Sorry Lucky!!
I've a box of multivitamins in my handbag. That'll do nicely
Our flight's 08.55 so not too bad, plus we're only 30 minutes from the airport so that makes things easier.

Fair play. I'm only 20 minutes drive from Heathrow. Luton by public transport OTOH (ditto Gatwick & Stanstead)

Loads. Plus I guarantee there will be loads of tickets available. In fact if you can't get one in Dublin, I'll find one for you.

That's not much more than what I was quoted for London-Dub 3 months ago (I wound up saving £100+ by flying into Belfast instead)
Have you checked options from Bristol?

Just looked at Flybe into Belfast from Cardiff (coach to Dublin is £14 and doesn't take too long, trains are rather more unless booked in advance) out Sat 08.50 back Sun 14.45 - £140.00.

Ah, it doesn't matter how good a deal it is - I've just remembered I'm going to visit my sister and my new niece in Swansea on Saturday.
It's just as well I remembered before I booked anything!

Evening folks. My flight gets into Dublin at 13:15 ish tomorrow. Then check into the hotel, then figure out how to get to the pub by public transport. A cab back will be the order of the day.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
Hi guys, I know Stag this this quite a while ago......I have a bit of a dilemma at work........
Basically, a few weeks ago I went for a job supporting bereaved young people (my dream job), I came 2nd in the selection process.
However today the manager called me in to say that there has been a job created where I would be part time working in bereavement and part time doing life stories with asylum seekers. The pay would be increased from what I am on now.
However (2) my current manager in the supporting employment sector has said that I may be moving up a scale IF (and that's a bit if) we get a bid we have gone in for.
If I take the new job I can use both my teaching and my drama skills and ultimately work towards dramatherapy.....If I go for option 2 then I could continue to help the project I created grow and develop.......
Bit of a dilemma and I need to let them know by Monday!! Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Prop,
The advice I was given was do what you enjoy.
On one hand you have a "dream job" for more money.
On the other you have a job that isn't as enjoyable and "maybe" will get more money.
Seems like a no brainer to me.
Do what makes you happy and get a few extra shillings in your pocket along the way.

Prop,
Go for the one that inspires you and puts fire in your belly. Option 1 gets my vote

Yep, option 1. They've created this new position and they've contacted you about it. That has to be a good thing.

Just in from athletics.
The way you describe it Prop it's no contest.
I don't see anything is the "in favour of option 2" column.
Tickets in the post!

He is indeed Notch.
Hurdles and relay.
It is a tough enough year for him as he is the young end of his age group this year for most of the competitions. Still, he won his district hurdles and has been made relay captain so he is pleased enough. Making the Ulsters is great, anything else is a bonus this year.
You haven't been drafted in to help, have you?

Watching it. They just seemed to score slowly yesterday - good tight bowling from the Kiwis. Today they are even more tentative playing their shots. Wagner doing well.
I always enjoy listening to Smithy. He is either sinking the boot into his team (sometimes rightly... at other times he just seems p'd off unnecessarily about someone - perhaps uncalled for?) but when they are showing signs of doing well - I love to hear him make those positive comments. Quite a character!
