This is a joy to watch from a tennis lovers perspective - truly unbelievable ball striking. Stan can beat anyone, Rafa included, if he continues to play like this. Its almost unplayable.

Re: US Open - Matches - continued
I would put it this way , Stan clearly is the classiest player on tour given Fed's decline, his current game style is double or triple better than Fed's play this year, but who the smarter player is? not a difficult guess right its Nadal, and he knows how to win a player on the other side of the court.lydian wrote:Wooahhh...is there a better ball striker on tour right now?

Re: US Open - Matches - continued
Stan's serve is very underrated on the tour very similar to how Fed's serve was under rated on his hey days. Wawrinka has hell lot of variety on his serve, his current serve has more variety than Fed itself, he can direct the serve on all three side with similar action like Fed and he cal also do chip spinny serves like Rafa accurately which is breath taking.

Interestingly, Both times Nole and Rafa have faced each other in a USO final... Nole had to save match points against a Swiss single hand back hand player... Ive seen this movie before, the guy who looks like a mic wins in the end

Djokovic entirely depends on endless rallies here. Only one player winning rallies.

Broken! If one of these guys serve like this vs Nadal (probably), its going to be a black Monday in New York.

This game at 5-4 is the crucial one I reckon. Whoever wins this game wins the match for me...

If I were to guess who wins from here on I would have to say Nole. You feel Stan cannot play much better (while Nole certainly can), yet the set is pretty close.

Oh, it was not that rude; it was in good humor.TopoftheChops wrote:No need to be so rude.summerblues wrote:I am sure we all really care.TopoftheChops wrote:I'm going to lose my bet now...
It is just that people sometimes comment here on how well/not so well they may have done in their betting and it has always struck me as an odd thing to do, so for once I commented on it.
But again, it was all in good humor, obviously I do not actually have any problem with people commenting here on their luck, or lack thereof.

Re: US Open - Matches - continued
Stan not looking as sharp anymore. But he cannot be too tired yet, so it has to be more emotional than physical. He needs to at least keep is steady for the next few games, hopefully settle down, and try to start again.
