First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of Micky T above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Just seen the game in time warp!

What a match!

Fantastic result from the Scarlets!

I'm sure Dreamer and MrsPenfro are a bit happy!

On a slightly negative note, did anyone else see that woman giving out to the ref as he left the pitch at half time? Terrible.

Very true that. They thought they had it. Did not close it out. And. They forgot who they were playing.

Yer Da is right. guinness

But, as Scarlets will win the Pool, it will between Munster and Saints to see who makes the Amlin. No?

Did anyone see the Blues v LI game?

The visitors must have put in some shift considering they played 3/4 of the match with 14 men.

Evening all

Just in from work, haven't seen any rugby, but know the results and am about to watch the London Irish game now.

Well done the Scarlets, congrats dreamer and Glas, and fair play to Edinburgh, that is some comeback.

I understand we played two thirds of the game with 14 men, so an LBP is probably a decent return.

In all honesty am too knackered to muster much disappointment, will probably feel it tomorrow after some sleep.

Just seen the sending off. Agree with everything Pat Sanderson is saying in commentary. Correct decision from the referee, he had to send him off. Also agree with what he is saying about tackling with the pace of todays game and there also being a responsibility on the ball carrier in those situations.

Real shame for Shingler, you can see there is no intent, he's just got the tackle wrong. Feel for the lad.

Phone them asap and find out what is happening. If it is the only time you have been overdrawn and it was for a very short period they may be willing to waive the charges in order to keep your business.

You may need to gently threaten to move your account.

talk to them though and sort it out!

Mornin'

Well played Scarlets, took all the Christmas gifts Saints left under the tree tonight. The consensus in the pub was that Northampton didn't deserve a lbp.

Scarlets played a shrewd smothering defence in midfield (good game plan) and rarely dropped the ball when they had it. It's called 'respecting possession'.

I tipped them as bolters in this Pool. Just saying like Smile.

hello hello

I am one, incredibly happy if disbelieving person right about now.

Had an amazing chat with my dad after the game (which killed my phone, no battery left at all!)

I just can't belive it. Just.....just wow. TBP win AWAY from home. Just, Flip amazing.

Really hope the international match doesn't screw us over for the home match against Munster but I'm not hopeful. I am going to savour this win like you wouldn't believe though.

Our pack was amazing, just...well the whole team. Sanjay at FB was immense to start with. And Georgie, oh my Georgie. I so hope he's okay. He's just such an inspiration and for the 4th try, what great support. I love him. Fact. End of.

I love the Scarlets.

Amser gwely nawr, but just want to say da iawn Blues (gutted for Shingler after his daft tackle), and amazing by Edinburgh!

Nos da/Bore da pawb.

Get on the phone and 'make out', 'give over' ah yes, give out saying it's your first time, threaten to pull the account etc. They have a discretion to waive it the first few times. If it's not your first couple if times, Gibbo is right.

Right, I've been thinking. Last night gives Munster a bit of a quandary ahead of the December match. Munsters gameplan always has been for games with the Scarlets to stop them playing, ware them down and turn the knife. That was Northampton's plan too. However this Scarlet team can pounce on the meagerest crumbs to score tries. So how do you deal with that? Try and stop them playing even more? If Munster get any more conservative and keep ball they won't try anything themselves, it will be 80 minutes of rolling mauls! That result has added something to the December match, come on Munster do your worst just don't think you can make ANY mistakes, I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Munster have a lot to think about Glas, your dead right. It'll revert to a kicking masterclass from ROG, pin the Scarlets back in their own half for 80 minutes and kick points from resulting penalties

Sorry Mrs P, that'll teach me not to read back! Agree on Munsty advice and yes I am a very happy Scarlet. Hope the Ospreys can keep up the Welsh regions 100% record in Europe, no pressure. Looking forward to Ulster compounding the misery of the East Midlands. Hopefully my back will recover for the Dragons match Friday and the Llanwrtyd Wells Beer festival on Saturday Yahoo

Yeah,

Surely Munster could not kick as poorly as Saints did last night nor catch as poorly as the Saints did last night?

Take nothing from the Scarlets but it was Saints errors that did the damage and the Scarlets fantastic ability to capitalise on them that produced the result I think.

Munster better hope then is not the day for his yips then. You don't want to give these Scarlets cheap ball.
