The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
First topic message reminder :
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to the homeland of the wonderful Eirebilly, who we were all horrified to hear that he was involved in a helicopter crash on Friday. Better news though is that he's awake and swearing like a sailor, so no change there Feel free to take in all of the pubs, of which the Greyhound is but one of many.
Updates on Billy's progress can be found here: https://www.606v2.com/t30132-eirebilly-op-updated-02-06-2012 and I'm sure we'll all continue in sending the positive thoughts and good wishes to him and his family.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the snooker table, brought in especially for Billy. And I'm not quite sure how that picture of a sheep got above the bar.....
Old pub: https://www.606v2.com/t29683p950-the-dew-drop-inn-erc-2012-commemorative-pub-dublin#1271612

I haven't heard anything today. Unfortunately where I am has FB blocked. The news yesterday was encouraging and hopefully he will continue improving. Not sure if they are keeping him sedated still.
As to his "facilities" I couldn't possibly answer that

Got a choice now between the weekends of 14-15th or 28-29th July. Hadn't wanted to make my way up on either of those weekends as I was supposed to be doing things back here, but they're the only weekends around my birthday that my best mate in London is around for (and as it'll be a girls weekend we should be staying at hers). Hmmm, decisions, decisions...
I will never forget my experience of witnessing "Les Miserables" in London. It was a sensational show. Enjoy it!
I've no doubt I will! I saw it there when I was 7, but don't have all too clear memories of it now really. And I've lost count the amount of times I've watched the 10yr anniversary edition on DVD (but that's not the same, tis only the big songs and misses out a lot!) I it. Just know I'll appreciate it all the more now

Ach T bud Ireland have 3 massive games in a row. I can't see the trap changing his XI that much and I doubt McShane will get a look in. Can't wait to see who he picks on the left. Heart says Duff head says McClean.
They shpould drop MuckGeady. They way Ireland play he is wasted. He can't put in a cross to save his life. I think he would be better in a more central role but you won't see that with Ireland. Can't feicing wait for the Euros, was a bit young for 94 so 02 is the only other tournament I have really experienced. Heading to the Cork game early on the Sunday so massive Sunday in store!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
Morning all,
Rory, good luck, after having 3 interviews last week (2 good, one less so - but I wasn't that interested in that job) Ill be feeling for you.
Ulitmately I can only echo some of the other comments here - be as well prepareed as you can, and make sure you've thought through and "have on tap" good things you've done in the past, so you can apply them as examples in the interview. There will likely be plenty of "tell us about a time when ..." questions, and the better you know your subject matter the easier it is to relax and recount it. Make sure you don't talk too fast (which is my nervouse habit), try to take a deep breath and pause slightly before answering a question, it will slow down your speech and give you a little time to think.
I haven't heard back re the last interview yet, I think I really impressed and had good chemistry with the interviewers, but I'm lacking experience in a couple of areas they were after, so will have to see.
I've got to track down a dentist, had a filling fall out yesterday . On the plus side I got a really good 3 way Skype chat in with friends in NZ and Vienna - talked for 90 minutes. Unfortunately I didn't hear the phone ring after I'd gone to bed from my mate who's "wintering over" at Scott Base in Antarctica - they're down to 2 hours of daylight a day now, with the endless night period kicking in next month.

Indian Curry Rhapsody
Naan, just killed a man
Poppadom against his head
Had lime pickle now he's dead.
Naan, dinner's just begun
But now I'm gonna cr@p it all away.
Naan, ooh, ooh Didn't mean to make you cry
Seen nothing yet just see the loo tomorrow
Curry on, curry on
Cause nothing really Madras.
Too late, my dinner's gone
Sends shivers down my spine
Rectum aching all the time
Goodbye onion bhaji,I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and use the loo.
Naan, ooh, ooh
This doopiaza is so mild
I sometimes wish we'd never come here at all.
(guitar solo)
I see a little chicken tikka on the side
Rogan Josh, Rogan Josh, pass the chutney made of Mango
Vindaloo does nicely
Very very spicy
Meat!
Byriani (Byriani)
Byriani (Byriani)
Byriani and a naan
(A vindaloo loo loo loo)
I've eaten balti, somebody help me
He's eaten balti, get him to the lavatory
Stand you well back
'Case the loo is quarantined...
Here it comes
There it goes
Technicolor yawn
I chunder
No!
It's coming up again
(There he goes)
I chunder, it's coming back again
(There he goes)
Coming back again
(up again)
Here it comes again.
(No no no no no no NO)
On my knees, I'm on my knees
On his knees, Oh, there he goes
This vindaloo
Is about to wreck my guts
Poor me.. poor me...poor meee!
(guitar solo)
So you think you can chunder
and then feel alright?
So you try to eat curry
and drink beer all night?
Oh maybe,
But now you'll puke like a baby
Just had to come out
It just had to come right out in here.
(guitar solo)
(slow bit)
Korma, sag or bhuna
bhaji, balti or naan
Nothing makes a difference
Nothing makes a difference
To meee....
(Anyway, the wind blows....shshshsh)

Rory,
Re interview - best of luck.
Will they shake hands with you when you are introduced? How's your handshake? Might seem a silly question, but having been on the other side of the desk a few times, I found myself immediately marking down candidates who offered me a very limp handshake.
Lots of good advice already given, as to nerves, remember two things, firstly nerves are a manifestation of adrenaline, everyone gets them, if you aren't nervous it means you don't care; experienced interviewers will expect you to be nervous; secondly, interviewers often get nervous too.
