The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Taihape
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Taihape - The Gumboot Capital of the World!
http://www.taihape.co.nz/
We also welcome our newest member, Amber ...who no doubt will have an interest in those boots!
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Aaron Smith, Topsy Ojo, Jason Shoemark, Tom Rees, Gonzalo Garcia, Leo the Leinster Lion and Lalakai Foketi up on the wall.

Bore da all, it's dry and cold on the docks, which makes it a beautiful morning in my book!
I read that yesterday and thought it was funny that they referred to him as 'Wales lock Sidoli' when it's aeons since he played for Wales. Is that what you mean?

I'm still up for the trip to Exeter in Jan too, as is MickyT and possibly Paul (our other season ticket cohort).
Cracking morning here too, I think it's to stay cold and dry tomorrow, we'll take that!

I'd be tempted by the Chiefs - Leinster match, but we've got Wasps at home that day - and Prop, you've got Mont de Marsan back at Kingsholm. That should be nice and uneventful...

Morning All
Beautiful day here, and I turn on the telly and there's Sam Warburton being interviewed. He's lovely and a hero. Very diplomatic as well when he was asked the inevitable questions about the Lions.
Hope everyone's having a good day.

Hey Lucky,
No I'll head off tomorrow. I have stuff to do at home today. Not long got up. Interesting interview with Glen Tilbrook and Chris Difford from Squeeze now. They were great songwriters.

I've only heard the odd song by Squeeze. I like 'Cool for Cats', even if I did hear it first on an advert for milk.

Uh no, maybe they edited it then or I misread it but they say he's fit again at the start, then injured still near the end.
Strange that we have either dropped completely or benched some of our regular starters in Steff (bench), Tuilagi, Leach and Adam Jones (dropped). I'd love to hear the explanation for it.

Have seen quite a few of Asbo's lot today about town. The Scots on tour for the football. Wales will probably lose again, so they'll have a good tour.

I really don't follow Wales in the football, I never have. I'd prefer us to win of course, but I wouldn't be delighted, just as it wouldn't make me sad if we lost.
It's strange, because I really like football generally.

Nor do I Lucky - couldn't care less about it to be honest, but it's all over the local news, and it is cool to see the visiting fans about. They always make an effort to dress up, the Scots do. My brother's really into football. He's a hardcore Wales fan but supports Liverpool and refuses to support Cardiff City unless they're in an important final or something. I'm not interested in the football at all really. The only time I watched it was years ago when Wales played Italy in Cardiff and the Manics played two songs before the match. That was mainly due to my boyf at the time. He was a big football supporter.

I listened to the second half of that match on the radio. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
Tom James is quick and makes breaks, but he just doesn't have the composure / nous to make the most of it. I don't know if it's too late to develop that in him.

Also, can I just say I think it's poor that the Beeb haven't mentioned that we beat Wasps at Adams Park in last season's Low Value Cup. You'd think that would be of interest in a match preview.

I watched it online Lucky. It was blydi painful to see. Re: To-Jam, I don't know what it is with him, but sometimes it is like he can't run and hang on to the ball at the same time, but he can't pass it either so him getting possession is usually a wasted opportunity. Apparently he used to be good at athletics....maybe he could go back to that.

Anyway, I picked this as one of my fave tries. Just for the drama (not good for O's fans nerves, mind):
