The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Pyongyang in a bid to persuade Kim Jong Un to pack away the missiles, grab a beer and watch the rugby.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Donal Walsh, Chris & the late Hannah Eaton, the retiring Marcus Horan, the recently hospitalised Schalk Burger (with meningitis), the recuperated Jacques Burger, and the three-peating ANBL champion NZ Breakers

Evenin' All
I think we're in for a storm here. It feels stormy.
Great scenes at the roundball last night. There was singing and honking of car horns late into the night...Craig Bellamy (Cardiff boy) was all emotional in his post match interview.

Lucky,
I doubt much point putting up an article but Munster make massive changes. Only Varley, Keatley and Hurley keep their places from last week and to be honest they aren't first choice anyway.
Dragons will surely be targetting a win.

There's a fair few names I don't recognise there, Stag. I'm looking forward to seeing JJ Hanrahan play, and CJ Stander if he comes off the bench, but of course, I hope they play well in a losing cause.
We'll be targetting a win and it would be great to get that in our last home game of a terrible season, but I'm not confident at all.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
So happy Munster have named such a side, there is some real potential in that side mind. Havn't been to Dave for so long, but will be there tomorrow night with the nephew, hoping for a cracker of a game.
Everytime I try to turn the kid onto rugby and from football something goes wrong, heres hoping the Dragons do me a solid tomorrow and make a real game of it!!!
Just to try even harder the missus (Dublin girl) will be wearing a Munster shirt, has made bets with the kid that Munster will win, if Dragons win we all get ice cream, if Dragons score first we have to do push ups etc...
I'm running out of ways to put rugby into his blood, we're at near last chance saloon!!!

I haven't heard anything, but it looks like Dan Evans has lost his place in the squad for getting himself yellow carded at Ravenhill.
Tim Ryan on the bench! We might actually get to see him play!
EDIT: Dan Evans has injured his ankle.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
From a Munster perspective I think its actually a good move.
That will be a motivated team full of players looking to prove themselves. A lot better than having guys going through the motions.
I am worried about the lack of pace in the back three and a lack of physicality in the second row. Our bench also lacks impact.
But I'm happy with the front row, backrow, halfbacks and centres. Thats the spine of a good team.
Stephen Archer, Dave O'Callaghan, Paddy Butler, Ian Keatley, JJ Hanrahan and Ivan Dineen all look to me to be guys who can go on to reach another level to where they are at. This is a great chance for them.

I'm not sure, the missus picked them up off groupon, must be family as the tickets are for family of 4.
Ive taken him to Bristol, Blues, Sardis road, and a few junior games this season, nothing seems to go right for us, we either watch our team get hammered or a fight breaks out in front of us, or a pleb of a coach unnerves him etc...

I hate this kind of thing:
LONDON MARATHON: POLICE PRESENCE INCREASED
'There will be an increased police presence at the London Marathon on Sunday in light of the Boston Marathon bombings, the home secretary has said.'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22198325
Nowhere in the article does Theresa May say that there will be an increased police presence. The journalist is lying.
What's more, the headline of the article on the main UK news page is, 'London Marathon gets extra police'. She doesn't say that!

Met Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe had said a review of security plans meant increased searches and more police on the street "looking after people, making sure they're safe."

Beautiful day here but blowing a howling gale. Woke me up during the night which isn't fun when you're up at half five in the morning.
Hope everyone's well and looking forward to the weekend.

Fair enough, Bluesman - so the opening line of the article should read, 'There will be an increased police presence at the London Marathon on Sunday in light of the Boston Marathon bombings, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner has said.' Theresa May didn't say it.
Am I a pedant? You bet your life I am!
Evening, Cari. It's been windy all day here, too, but the sun's shining and it's pretty mild.

Ulster regs.
There are kitchen table discussions of a trip to your bit of the World in May. It will be just after the semi final unfortunately as Mrs G is working that day, but it will be taking in the Balmoral Show.
Couple of questions:
Where's the best place ferry to and from?
What touristy things are there in the vicinity of the show?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Pyongyang
They've got two games going on at the same time here. (7:30pm)
Waratahs v Chiefs at the SFS. Capacity 45,500... lucky if there'll be 20,000 there.
Next door at the SCG it's a top-of-the table clash between the Sydney Swans and Geelong Cats.
Over 40,000 expected there. (47,000 capacity) Traffic will be a nightmare. Can't wait until they bring the trams back. They should never have ripped up the rails in 1961!
The yearly ANZAC Test also kicks off in Canberra at 7:45pm.
Hurricanes beat the Force 22-16 in the earlier match in Wellington.

OK, switched to the Connacht v Ulster match and it's a beautiful evening in Galway (as it was in Glasgow and here). It's going to the wire as to which two teams get the home play-offs. But BOD is captaining Leinster on Sunday - what could possibly go wrong??

Will you get feedback from the Munster fans you got tickets for? If you do, ask them if they know what happened after CJ Stander's try. All 30 players got involved but I don't know what sparked it.

Morning Everyone
It seems to be a lush weekend! Spring has finally arrived in Wales. Good for the RHS Flower Show they've got in Bute Park. It usually ends up looking like a multi coloured bog over there. Also nice for the Sarries in Roath Park today. Good luck Prop, Penfro et al
I'm going to the theater tonight. Haven't done that for years. I'm only going cause my sister really needed someone to go with. I just hope I don't show myself up falling asleep or something.
