With Bournemouth looking like they've got Iturbe done on loan with a view to permanent then I guess that's the signal to get this thread going

Looking forward to tomorrow, although I hope Dimitri doesn't ruin us, like he did back in September. As for the signings, pretty pleased to have two England internationals, with something to prove.

Charlie Austin to Southampton looks like it's going ahead, for just £4m. They must know Pelle wants the big move to Juve & wants to leave.

Snuck under the radar. Good signing for them, and one they need.

Sunderland have apparently bid £13m for Andre Ayew. Apparent interest from Chelsea and Leicester too.
Naismith and Klose (not that one) sound as good as done to Norwich now.

Is there something going in Andre Ayew? Weird that so many clubs seem to be circling around him when he's only just moved.
As it is, I wouldn't mind Liverpool going for him for around £15 million, can play through the middle or wide, got pace. Would be a decent signing.

West Ham are supposedly interested in Balotelli.
Arsenal have signed one of Leicester's scouts, Ben Wrigglesworth as well. If he can find players like Mahrez and Kante, then it will be very good for Arsenal.

Re: January Transfer Window 2016
David Gold saying that Charlie Austin isn't a steal if his wages are £100k a week and "he's no ligaments in his knees". Brings up the question of fixed medicals if he's a crock or maybe Gold is just a tad upset. Mind you, I'll be upset if Austin starts scoring as I did suggest Liverpool could take a punt on him.
Super Mario to West Ham about as unlikely as Barca loaning us Suarez for the rest of the season but both would be nice, especially getting Mario off the books. Of course, how much would Mario's wages be then Mr Gold.

Watford sign Nordin Amrabat from Malaga. Good player played for Galatasaray in the CL.

West Ham to sign Sam Byram for £3.7m
We've signed Timm Klose for £7.3m - anybody know if he's any good?

Owen Hargreaves apparently said he's better than Norwich level, well he said he was surprised he wasn't signing for someone higher up the league.
Good old Byram. Heard he's gonna be loaned back for the rest of the season. Zarate looks set to replaced Amrabat at Malaga.

Rumours in the Italian press, that Liverpool have bid for Alvaro Morata, who's been struggling this season. Juventus want to sell him & replace him with Edinson Cavani.

Not sure that's a good signing at all. He never kicked on at Liverpool at all after making his debut so young. He looked really poor against Exeter and the worst thing is that his agent is Aidy Ward.

I'm not a fan of Mignolet, but I definitely don't agree.
I do think the criticism of Mignolet is just becoming silly, he's a good shot stopper with poor handling of crossing and poor distribution. I'd say he's around average of the first choice in the Premier League. He's also been helped by the fact that Liverpool don't tend to concede a lot of chances, bumping his stats up. At the same time, it's more a "meme" than it is based in reality how bad people make him out to be.

Re: January Transfer Window 2016
I definitely prefer Pantilimon. Shame he's gone to be second choice, he's better than a good few keepers.
Sounds like Byram might be joined at West Ham by Gignac (or its Ba). But seems Atletico are throwing money at Besiktas for Tore now in case they get a transfer ban, which surely puts us out of the race

Re: January Transfer Window 2016
Think mignolet looks worse due to our teams general inability to defend set pieces. Or is are inability to defend set pieces a result of having a poor keeper who never claims it? Or both.
Either way, not good enough for a team with any aspirations of a top 6 finish.

West Ham Owner on Sky...
There's a possibility that a striker will come in on loan, with the option to buy, within the next seven days. He's an overseas striker.

Appears to be one of Emenike, Gignac, Sow or Ba. That's in order of likelihood rather than preference. Personally think if we pushed the boat out we'd have a chance at top four, but we never grasp these opportunities.

Definately would IMO. Few good signings and they would certainly be in the mix come April/May.

Chelsea looking to bring in Pato, possibly on loan and made permanent at the end of the season.
Not sure that's a good deal at all, he's done okay in Brazil but he's had bad injury problems, struggled to make a real impact at Milan. Not sure Chelsea are in the stable position to bring success back for Pato.

Id guess that's if Remy leaves on loan to someone. He'd do as a bench player.

I doubt it. I'm assuming it's one of Pato or Lavezzi arriving, then if either does arrive, Falcao's loan arrangement will be cancelled. Then Costa, Remy and Pato/Lavezzi as options.

My thought was Monaco didn't want Falcao back as he got injured? Keep seeing it about places

Sounds so, unless it's Sow. Not majorly impressed but at least it's a loan first and at least it's another body. Not gonna get excited over it or anything, but if he captures form it'll be grand, if he doesn't it's just wages wasted and off you go.

I've heard the same thing, but all the talk is that Chelsea are plowing through regardless. I'm sure they'll come to some arrangement. It's certainly more likely Falcao will be leaving than Remy anyway.

Re: January Transfer Window 2016
Liverpool have bid £29 million for Alex Texeira. Heard really good things, he's got an insane goalscoring record. Shaktar Donetsk want more though. Imagine this will also trigger Chelsea and Tottenham into action so they can steal him at the last minute.
I don't understand why West Brom aren't cashing in on Berahino now. The longer he stays the lower his price becomes, he's clearly not going to be doing much under Pulis and they could probably get somebody to pay £20 million for him. I bet he'll end up going for closer to £10 million later down the line.
